Tracy McCullagh

Head Instructor (Pole/Hoop/PT)

Tracy started pole fitness at the age of 42 and after trying one lesson was hooked! Tracy says, “It wasn’t what I expected at all and after 18 months I decided to take my qualification in instructing.”

She began her career working in a studio teaching all levels and particularly enjoyed the focus on routine creation, helping students enter competitions. After four years of teaching she decided it was time to take the plunge, make the most of the gap in the market and open up her very own studio in Preston.

Tracy continues, “For me, it’s not just about ‘business’… it’s all about the burning passion and what I get out of seeing students jump around with joy as they achieve things they once never thought possible as they grow and develop their strength and fitness. If my students are happy then so am I.”

Donna Wilde

Aerial Hoop & Pole Fitness Instructor

The first encounter with pole was way back in 2007. I had to give pole up for a while due to being pregnant with my daughters, since then I’ve been back on the pole for around 6 years, and having Pole as my passion for 4 years! I decided to volunteer at City of Preston Gymnastics and teach pole fitness for around 8months after deciding that I wanted to make Pole Fitness my job, as well as my passion. I've had Privates and Masterclasses with Damian Kutryb, Jessica Leanne Norris & Daniel Rosen, and also attended London Dance Academy to take part in a featured role for a documentary named ‘Pole, Pride & Prejudice’.

Pole fitness has had a huge positive impact on my life, never have I felt so confident and with who I am before.. I have seen a massive difference in my physical attitude and mental attitude also!

Pole Fitness Instructor

I've been poling for 4 years, the obsession took hold after having my little girl. It was great to find a fun way to get fit, meet awesome people and have some me time. In the quest to be a better poler, I joined a gym and really got the fitness bug. I'm fitter, stronger and more confident, I love how pole has taught me to be comfortable in my own skin. It certainly isn't a one shoe fits all sport. I love elbow or armpit grips, but it definitely didn't start that way but as always a little persistence pays off. my favourite more in a really pretty spin I learned at a Jessica Leanne Norris master-class. I qualified early 2017 and have been instructing beginner and intermediate students at Desire since then! #HappyPlace

Ellie Nyland

Pole Fitness Instructor

I started pole practice in 2015 at pole fit Dubai and was taught by the famous Vlada Zhizhchenko, alongside pole she also taught me aerial hoop and the basics in aerial silks. Since moving back to the UK I continued my training at Desire Studios, not only did Tracie have the advanced level of pole I required but she also put her trust and confidence in me to go further with my pole career. Previous to poke fitness I have always been involved in some sort of physical activity from swimming, tennis, hockey, cheerleading and many more. I also represented the UK in Japan for COED cheerleading in 2005 to which the UK achieved 5th place.
